They were finishing up the installation of the new sculpture at Patricia's Green in Hayes Valley yesterday. Anyone know who the artist is? Update: The sculpture is called Ecstasy, and the artists are Dan Das Mann and Karen Cusolito. There will be an opening reception tonight at the park from 4 to 7 p.m. [Thanks fugazziaboutit and Jared Hirsch!]

Yesterday was our first time hanging out at the park, and it seems like a lovely addition to the neighborhood. The park was named after Patrcia Walkup, activist and founder of the Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association.

It also looks like the residents have been picking up their dog doo more vigilantly since this Yelp review was posted.
