DRAG: It's the 14th Annual SF Drag King Contest, the biggest and longest running drag king contest in the world. This year's event is beach-themed, and proceeds will benefit P.A.W.S. PARTY: Yerba Buena Center for the Arts brings another What's the Big Idea Late Night Party extravaganza. The event will feature live music performances by Cuban surf rock band, The Cuban Cowboys, the 21st century tribal shimmy of Mezklah, the outrageous acts of Dwayne Calizo and the Voice Factory, and the spellbinding rhythms of Kulintronica, plus MC Super Pulga/Norman Zelaya, DJ Black and the KPFA DJ all-stars Aztec Parrot, Wey South and Kool Kyle on the decks. Burning Man altar master, Shrine, and collaborator, Star, will build a sacred Bird House in the Sculpture Court. RSVP is recommended.
