Early this morning at 8:24 a.m., an "adult female" was struck a 60-foot 71-Haight-Noriega bus on Market and Sixth Streets. She was transported to SF General Hospital, where she later died. According to San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency's press release:
"This is a tragedy, and we at SFMTA extend our sincere condolences to her family for their loss," said Samuel Lau, Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, which operates Muni. Per normal procedure, the Operator driving the bus at the time of the collision will undergo drug testing and be placed on administrative leave.
SFPD are currently investigating the tragic, early morning accident at Sixth and Market streets, an intersection famous for being infamous.
