The conference features panels about the ins and outs of Bay Area filmmaking, how to get financing and funding in the area for your projects, getting distribution for documentaries, as well as panels on, among other topics, animation, making a trailer, and working with actors. For those of you penning that quirky coming-of-age tale screenplay, or those of you hard at work editing footage of family home movies for that poignant personal documentary, this could be just the right kick in the pants you need to get the project screening at a theater near you!

The conference runs September 7 through 8. So why are we telling you about it now? Because if you register by Friday this week (August 10), it's only $85 for non-members ($65 if you're already a Film Arts Foundation member). The prices go up after that, to $80 members/$100 for non.
