We don't know what's bigger news: the fact that Rita Moreno stars in The Glass Menagerie, one of the greatest plays in the American canon, or the fact that director Les Waters has never seen a production of the play in his life. (Or so he told the press a while back.) Well, he's from England, so it's OK. Actually, it's one of the reasons why we want to check out this play--he's sure to bring a fresh interpretation to the production. Oh, and Rita Moreno. You know, she's from West Side Story; she's one of the few performers ever to win an Oscar, an Emmy, the Tony and the Grammy. Ah, but has she won a Pulitzer? Yeah, well, neither have we.
