The League of Pissed Off Voters continues with their 40 Parties in 40 Days voter awareness campaign (though we're now only at a fortnight more of parties) with a big Thursday-night bash. The party's to celebrate the release of their Voter Guide to San Francisco and to raise funds for the Bay Area push to support ACT's campaign to Turn Nevada Blue, where Democrat volunteers from the Bay Area are going to Reno and Vegas to talk face-to-face with honest-to-God real live undecided and Republican voters in a swing state. (Imagine that, talking to people who have different opinions than your own!)
The party's at Studio Z, 314 11th Street in San Francisco (x Folsom), goes from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m, and will feature the afrobeats dance music of Aphrodesia, beat boxing by Infinite (Felonious), and hip hop by Lo Art. DJs Dryhump and Deepcee will spin and Tau G's on the visuals. On the actual political side, local progressive candidates endorsed in the San Francisco Voter Guides will be there too, including Jane Kim, running for school board on the Green Party ticket.
Again, we'd post information about Republican, Libertarian, Green, or Peace and Freedom Party events in the area, but none of you guys are telling us about them. (why didn't anyone tell us about the Libertarian semi-annual dinner party last week?) Hey, SFist's all about poly-partisanship.
