A 27 year old San Francisco woman is missing after a road trip to Las Vegas. Kellie Phillips is a 5'8" African-American woman weighing approximately 140 pounds and was last seen driving a rented white Ford Focus, license plate no. 5BYP018. Phillipss father had rented her the car as an early birthday present, and they last heard from her on the afternoon of August 9, when she called her parents from Vegas and said shed be getting back to SF later that day. San Franciscos Missing Persons department is handling the case.
Not to be your mom or anything, but it's always good to let someone know where you are (like Kellie Phillips seems to have done) on these road trips, so if something happens, God forbid, they can get you help right away. (SFist ourself doesn't always do this, but knows we should). We're all hoping Kellie just decided to take a few days in L.A. on her trip home, and our thoughts go out to her family.
