A building in the Financial District was the site of gunfire Friday morning, in an incident about which we currently only have scant details. No one was reportedly injured.

"At least one" spent shell casing was found inside a building on the 200 block of Sansome Street, near the intersection of Pine Street, as the Chronicle reports, with a report of shots fired just before 11 am.

Police arrived at the scene at 10:57 am and began canvassing the area, the Chronicle says, seeking a suspect and any possible victims.

No victims were found, but a suspect was reportedly located and arrested nearby.

We'll update you as we learn further details.

Anyone with information about the shooting or suspect is asked to contact the San Francisco Police Department at 415-575-4444, or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with “SFPD.” Tipsters can remain anonymous.

This is a developing story.
