Day Around the Bay: Dome Fire Explodes In Yosemite

The Dome Fire, which began Tuesday north of Wawona Dome in Yosemite National Park, exploded to over 1,200 acres on Wednesday. The fire was burning upslope, it is 0% contained, and has led to the closure of the Chilnualna Falls trail. [Chronicle]
Anthony Moses, a 47-year-old Oakland man has been charged with murder after an altercation he had with a coworker allegedly led to the coworker's death. Moses is charged with the killing of Javier Martinez Ramos outside Thousand Oaks Laundromat, after the two apparently argued over who should repair a washing machine. [KTVU]
A 78-year-old Danville man, Edwin Emmett Lickiss, has been sentenced to a nearly ten-year-long prison term in connection with a Ponzi scheme he was convicted of conducting between 1998 and 2024, defrauding 93 people out of $9.5 million. [KRON4]

Paramount is reportedly back at the negotiating table with California state officials after declaring Tuesday that the company was moving out of the state.
