A second person has died at this year's Burning Man festival, according to the Burning Man Project. Craig Mann, 60, was reportedly found dead in his camp on Saturday afternoon. No cause of death was provided.
In a statement, the Burning Man Project offered their "thoughts and deepest condolences" to the participant's family and loved ones. The Chronicle reports that no additional information is currently available. Mann's death marks the second to take place at this year's Burning Man.
On Thursday, as SFist previously reported, a man in is mid-50s died after suffering a medical emergency.
According to the Pershing County Sheriff Coroner, the victim received lifesaving measures before he was transported to Black Rock City's onsite emergency center and subsequently declared dead.
Hi name has thus far been withheld as officials continue to attempt to notify family members. The Coroner stated that external foul play did not appear to be a factor in the man's death.
Elsewhere down at Black Rock City, the death of a 37-year-old Russian national last year continues to be investigated as a homicide and the playa is once again facing some difficult weather conditions.
