A fire broke out on the eighth floor of a low-income senior housing development in SF’s Twin Peaks Tuesday, injuring one person.
One person was injured Tuesday afternoon after a fire broke out inside an eighth-floor unit on the 200 block of Woodside Avenue, a 10-story affordable housing building on the edge of the Forest Hill neighborhood, as the Chronicle reports. The San Francisco Fire Department reportedly received a 911 call around 12:53 pm and arrived within three to five minutes, finding the fire inside the residential building.
The injured person was treated by firefighters and taken to a local hospital. Their condition was not immediately known, and the fire department had not determined what caused the fire.
According to Citizen, the fire was located at 255 Woodside Avenue, which is a 109-unit, 10-story building for low-income seniors and people with disabilities.
The fire department asked people to avoid Woodside Avenue between Ulloa Street and Balceta Avenue while firefighters and other emergency crews responded to the scene.
