South Korean DJ Peggy Gou is among the headliners of a new three-month electronica concert series called Club Darc, being thrown at Pier 48 in Mission Rock, lasting from late February until mid-May.

The San Francisco Giants operate an entertainment and event venue right near Oracle Park called Pier 48 Shed A. It hosts mostly corporate events and banquets, but also played host to those Zedd, Noah Kahan, and The Chainsmokers concerts during last year’s NBA All-Star Game Weekend, and the Grahame Lesh & Friends afterparty shows during the Dead & Company concerts in August.

And on an unrelated note, Coachella festival promoter Goldenvoice has been throwing the EDM-heavy Portola festival down at Pier 80 since 2022, plus they added a Skrillex and Four Tet show at the same location the night before this past New Year’s Eve.

Those two seemingly unrelated things are now coming together into one new three-month recurring electronic music concert series. KRON4 reports that Goldenvoice just announced a series of EDM shows called Club Darc at Pier 48 Shed A, starting on Friday, starting Friday, February 27 and going through Saturday, May 16.

Only four shows have been announced so far, and the one that will jump out to most candy-flippers is Peggy Gou and longtime scenester Armand van Helden on Saturday, March 7. Other shows feature headline acts like Chris Stussy (Friday, February 27), Mau P (Friday, March 13), and Michael Bibi (Saturday, March 14). Additional new Club Darc shows are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Ticket “presales” being Tuesday, January 27 at 10 am PT, though you have to register and they’ll apparently send you email instructions.

“We’re very excited to bring yet another new dance music experience to the Bay Area with Club Darc,” Goldenvoice talent buyer Danny Bell said in a press release announcement. “Shed A at Pier 48 is the perfect venue to bring this vision to life — we’re going to transform the warehouse into our ideal club environment. Working alongside our partners at the SF Giants, our goal is to further the mission of making San Francisco a global hub for electronic music.”

If Goldenvoice is returning to this well after four years of Portola festivals and a Skrillex show last month, that indicates they’ve been getting a pretty good return on this concert investment in SF. And anything that contributes to a positive, post-doom-loop narrative is something we’re all for (even if Goldenvoice once actually held a concert here that was actually called “Doom Loop”).
