President Trump reiterated calls to invade Greenland because he’s mad at Norway for not giving him the Nobel Prize, leading many to wonder about Trump’s current mental capacity, including East Bay Congressman Eric Swalwell.

Our lunatic king Donald Trump continues on his bizarre obsession that he should be given a Nobel Peace Prize, so much so that he’s now threatening to invade any Icelandic nation he can think of because of it. This much became clear Sunday, when he effectively threatened to invade Greenland because he’s still mad about not getting the prize, in a text exchange with Norway’s prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

The whole thing is so batshit insane that it must be read to be believed.

Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT

Obviously, Trump has not ended eight wars, and every historical claim he makes there is complete fiction that he pulled out of his ass. And the thing about Americans "landing" on Greenland?

Prime Minister Støre, meanwhile, has put out a statement saying, "Regarding the Nobel Peace Prize, I have several times clearly explained to Trump what is well known, namely that it is an independent Nobel Committee, and not the Norwegian government, that awards the prize."

This all has many in Washington wondering further whether Trump is suffering from dementia at his advanced age of 79. And some are invoking calls that maybe Trump should be removed from office via the 25th Amendment.

Among these is East Bay Congressional representative and California governor candidate Eric Swalwell. On Monday, Swalwell tweeted a copy of Trump’s message to the Norwegian prime minister, along with the not-very cryptic message “25.”

Swalwell has been a consistently vocal critic of Trump since his first term, and that has predictably resulted in Swalwell being targeted with one of these now ubiquitous mortgage fraud investigations, in retaliation.

Meanwhile, in the conservative press, Swalwell has been fighting an allegation today that he is ineligible to run for governor of California because he does not live here.

Let’s be clear, Trump will not be removed from office using the 25th Amendment. That would have to be the decision of his cabinet, and they’re all in the tank for Trump’s aggressively bizarre stupidity. But yes, there is now a possibiliity that the US will go to war because its president did not get a"peace" prize.
