On Friday, two people were struck and seriously injured in a hit-and-run in the Upper Haight; and less than 5 hours later, a separate hit-and-run took one pedestrian's life in Bernal Heights.
The first collision occurred around 9:50 pm Friday near the intection of Haight and Lyon streets. As the Chronicle reports via the SFPD, a car struck a two-wheeled vehicle, either a moped or motorcycle, injuring two male victims.

The victims were transported to the hospital and listed in critical condition.
That incident was followed by another hit-and-run collision involving a car and a pedestrian in another part of the city about four hours later, at 2:10 am Saturday.
As the Chronicle reports, the victim was found lying in the street with critical injuries near the intersection of Cortland and Anderson streets.
According to a statement from the SFPD, "Officers rendered aid and medics arrived on scene who transported the victim to the hospital for life threatening injuries. Despite the lifesaving efforts of first responders and medical staff the victim succumbed to the injuries.”
No arrests have been made in either case, and no vehicle description has been provided in either case.
