An unexplained shooting in a Concord parking garage Tuesday night has left three people hospitalized, though Contra Costa County sheriff’s deputies quickly identified and detained multiple suspects.
We’re learning of yet more East Bay shootings that happened Tuesday night, this time in the Contra Costa County city of Concord. KTVU reports that three men were shot in a Concord parking garage at roughly 10:20 pm Tuesday night, in a parking facility near the Todos Santos Plaza on Salvio Street.
NBC Bay Area reports that the three unnamed shooting victims “had been taken by friends” to John Muir Medical Center. That outlet adds that all three male victims are in stable condition, and are expected to survive.
“A suspect vehicle was quickly identified and the information shared with other law enforcement partners,” the Concord Police Department said in a Wednesday morning Facebook post. “Deputies from the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office located the suspect vehicle driving in Bay Point where they conducted a traffic stop and detained the occupants.”
It is not mentioned how many “occupants” were in that suspect vehicle, nor what any motive may have been for the shooting.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Concord Police Department Major Crimes Unit's Detective Espino at (925) 671-3426.
