Veteran SF drag queen and hostess Donna Sachet has revived her popular Sunday drag brunch, which for years was a staple of Harry Denton's Starlight Room in Union Square.

Sunday's a Drag has returned, and it's now a weekly event at Club Fugazi in North Beach — the former home of Beach Blanket Babylon, and more recently home to the acrobatic show Dear San Francisco. Host Donna Sachet is joined by some alums of the original show at the Starlight Room and others, including Holotta Tymes, Mercedez Munro, and Cassandra Cass, for this weekly drag revue — with brunch.

"Although the days at Harry Denton’s Starlight Room may be gone, we have discovered a fabulous new home at Club Fugazi, opening up new opportunities for special effects, dynamic lighting, and bold musical numbers," says Ms. Sachet. "We welcome our former customers as well as the North Beach crowd for the best drag show in town."

Sunday's a Drag dates back to 2004, and became a staple for local drag fans and tourists alike. The new show is produced by Patrick Rylee with David Dower, who is the executive producer of Club Fugazi, and according to a release it "highlights the legacy of drag in San Francisco with surprise guests to celebrate and share in the magic."

The new show also features an a la carte, Italian brunch menu provided by created by Chef Auden Golder, as well as bottomless mimosas.

Tickets for Sunday's a Drag start at $75.90, inclusive of service fees — thanks to that new "junk fees" law.

You can also reserve the Tiara Balcony for a private group of up to 35 people. See more about that here.

Sunday's a Drag is among several Sunday drag events and brunches around town, including an ongoing one at 620 Jones in the Tenderloin (also on Saturday). Beaux in the Castro features drag brunches on Saturday and Sunday, and the Saturday Lips & Lashes Drag Brunch at the Lookout has been ongoing for over a decade.

But Sunday's a Drag was always a more classy affair you could bring your mom to, complete with reserved seating and a meal.

Doors for each event open at 10:30 am, with brunch served at 11 am, and the show starting at noon.
