- One of the suspects in the April 2022 gang-related mass shooting in downtown Sacramento, Smiley Martin, died in the county jail on Saturday. Martin, 29, was found unresponsive in his cell, and no further details are being released. [New York Times]
- One person, an adult male, is dead and multiple people were injured in a shooting at the Oak Shore Day Use area of Lake Berryessa in Napa on Saturday. Shots were reportedly fired during a fight and at least two people suffered stab wounds. [ABC 7]
- Three lanes of eastbound I-80 on the Bay Bridge were closed Saturday night due to a car on fire on the Treasure Island off-ramp. The Audi on fire was reported around 9:30 pm Saturday, and was "fully engulfed" according to CHP, and the lanes reopened around 10:30 pm. [KRON4]
- Middle Lake, which is part of a chain of three lakes in the middle of Golden Gate Park, has been restored after spending about 40 years being dried up. The lake is fed by a natural source, an underground aquifer, and will officially reopen when fences come down this summer. [Chronicle]

- A one-alarm fire Saturday around 2 pm in an apartment on the 3600 block of Taraval Street in SF's Outer Sunset has displaced one family. [NBC Bay Area]
