A celebrity chef with a long association with San Francisco in the last couple decades, Elizabeth Falkner, was just announced as part of the lineup for the GastroMagic Stage at Outside Lands later this month.

Falkner, who decamped to Brooklyn nearly a decade ago after shuttering her SoMa restaurant Orson and her longtime patisserie-restaurant Citizen Cake, has lately been living in Los Angeles and seems to be actively back in the celebrity chef business. This summer saw her participating in a BBQ Boot Camp in Santa Barbara County, and shooting an upcoming episode of Guy's Ranch Kitchen with Guy Fieri at his estate in Santa Rosa, according to Falkner's Instagram. And just in recent days she was in Hawaii at the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival.

On Saturday, October 30, Falkner will be back in the Bay Area for one of the first events she's done here in many years, doing some sort of pastry stuff in a GastoMagic Stage event alongside Albert Hammond Jr. of the Strokes.

That's about all we know, but those who've been to this stage at Outside Lands know that it's a little respite over at Lindley Meadow where chefs and musicians team up for some improvisational shenanigans — and maybe there might be free samples for a lucky few standing near the front.

Other Bay Area chefs participating in GastroMagic bits will be Melissa King (winner of Top Chef All Stars: Los Angeles), who'll be making dumplings alongside her IRL friends, DRAMA's Na’el Shehade and Via Rosa; Preeti Mistry, another Top Chef alum known best for former Oakland restaurant Juhu Beach Club; and as in other years, there will be a Beignets and Bounce Brunch on Saturday featuring beignets from Brenda's French Soul Food.
