One person was injured and two women and a dog were killed Tuesday evening after an SUV plummeted off of a 200-foot cliff in the Potrero Hill neighborhood.

The crash happened around 7:20 p.m., as the Chronicle reports, and the vehicle involved was a silver Nissan SUV. The car reportedly crashed through a fence at 25th and Dakota streets and landed in a parking lot below.

A woman in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, and another woman who suffered life-threatening injuries was transported to a hospital and later died. A man in the car also was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The dog reportedly was ejected from the car and died at the scene.

The woman who died at the scene has been identified as 28-year-old Angelique Starks of San Francisco, as Bay City News reports. The second crash victim has not yet been identified.

NBC Bay Area reports that a 911 caller reported that the car had been on Interstate 280, though the freeway is several blocks from the scene.

Dakota Street has a downhill incline as it approaches 25th Street and ends there at the cliff/hill in question.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the SFPD's anonymous 24-hour tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the beginning of the message.

This post has been updated to reflect that two people died in the crash, following the death of the second victim on Wednesday.
