It's one of those Halloweens where the actual holiday falls deep into the week after a weekend that will be filled with Halloween parties, so for die-hards, this is going to mean two or three different costumes.

Whether you're just planning to be an un-costumed tourist a couple of shindigs this weekend, or if you're all in, there are some big, ticketed-type events you may want to consider both on Saturday, October 26, and on Thursday the 31st.

The Speakeasy: All Hallows Eve
Running all this weekend and through November 2 is a special Halloween edition of the interactive theater experience known as The Speakeasy. The regular show has ended, but the space is still a cool place to hang out in costume, or out of costume — and the "All Hallows Eve" edition includes tarot card readings, dancing skeletons, and other seasonal spins on the Vaudeville shows that regularly happened in the cabaret during The Speakeasy's regular run. Also, for this party, DJ Bryce Williams will be spinning "electro swing," and there's a 1920s-themed costume contest.
Tickets are $90 to $110, with timed entries and premium upgrades.

Audio Halloween: Paul Oakenfold
Legendary, Grammy-nominated DJ Paul Oakenfold is doing a second night of a brief residency at Audio tonight (Friday), and tickets are still available for $30. This SoMa nightclub is known for great sound and a cool vibe, and table reservations might be in order if you're going with a group. Costumes are "encouraged." Audio's Halloween festivities continue on Saturday with Danish DJ Kolsch.
Audio, 316 11th Street, doors at 9:30 p.m., $30

Mystopia & Polyglamorous present Horror Story: Dark Matter
A lot of twenty- and thirtysomething gays will be headed to this party being jointly promoted by the Burning Man camp Mystopia and the DJ collective known as Polyglamorous. This one out at 550 Barneveld is popular each year, and all pre-sales have sold out, but $60 tickets will be available at the door for early-arrivers. The theme this year: interstellar.
550 Barneveld, Saturday, October 26, doors at 9:30 p.m., $60

A Club Called Rhonda presents Drag Me to Hell
Here's a unique opportunity to check out the new Virgin Hotels San Francisco, with this party hosted by Juanita More! that will be on all 13 floors of the hotel, and at the rooftop terrace bar. Costumes will obviously be in order for this Thursday affair, which is being co-presented by Great Northern (where the LA-based A Club Called Rhonda regularly makes SF appearances).
Virgin Hotels SF, 250 4th Street, 8 p.m., $120-$175, tickets here

There will be DJs in four separate rooms, as well as a Hallween burlesque show, and a costume contest with $1,000 in prizes.
