- A grass fire sparked by the refinery-tank explosion yesterday in Crockett grew to 15 acres. The fires were ultimately contained around 9 p.m. Tuesday, and the cause of the explosion remains under investigation. [ABC 7]

- An engineer at Facebook says he was fired for speaking out about to the press about a colleague's suicide. The engineer had only been at the company since July, and Facebook says he was fired for other reasons. [SF Business Times]
- A settlement has been reached between the City of San Francisco and a cybersecurity firm to which a contract got illegally steered by the city-employed wife of a firm employee. The company and its former employee are paying back $851,000 to the city. [Examiner]
