A power outage affecting about 4,000 PG&E customers as well as area traffic signals hit part of SoMa near South Park Friday afternoon.

The outage was reported on Alert SF at 1:40 p.m., and PG&E's estimate for power being restored was 4:15 p.m.

The outage is affecting a busy part of downtown San Francisco, including the areas of South Beach, South Park, and China Basin, which are home to a lot of offices.

This follows on a power outage earlier this week at the Westfield mall that left a swath of stores and restaurants closed for several days.
