The much anticipated pizzeria spinoff of Flour + Water is prepping for its opening according to a new job posting, which means Missionites and everyone else will soon have a more central spot wherein to carb load in high style.

Flour + Water announced in January that it would be taking over the space at 18th and Valencia that was built out and later vacated by Farina Pizzeria, over a year after the place went dark. (It's the second recently announced acquisition of Farina's formerly prominent footprint along 18th, with the Liholiho Yacht Club team recently announcing its takeover of Farina's flagship space up the street.)

The plan was for a spring opening for Flour + Water Pizzeria, and while chef-partner Thomas McNaughton of the Ne Timeas Restaurant Group tells SFist that the team is still "a ways out" from the opening — with no definitive date set and he says they're still "very much in the construction zone" — it sounds like we can at least get excited for tasty pizzas in our near future.

The new restaurant's Instagram account today announced two job fairs for potential front-of-house and back-of-house staff on two days next week: Wed. April 24, 4-7 p.m.; and Sun. April 28, 1-4 p.m.

The post also suggests the opening is "imminent," but McNaughton cautions that the word can be interpreted loosely. So, if you want a job as a pizza tosser — or a server! — get your resume together for those job fairs.
