∙ Oakland's 3,000 public school teachers are entering their third strike day after negotiators again failed to reach an agreement Sunday. The teachers' union continues to hold out for a 12 percent raise retroactive to 2017 which the school district says it can not afford. [ABC 7]
∙ A Livermore man was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of murdering his brother. A shooting occurred following a dispute between the brothers, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. [CBS SF]
∙ Skiers at Tahoe's North Star resort had to be evacuated Sunday after a chairlift broke down. Around 200 skiers were trapped on the lift for three hours in chilly conditions. [Chronicle]
∙ The 39-year-old local non-profit The Academy of Friends threw its Oscar bash once more on Sunday, which is said to be the biggest Oscar party north of Hollywood. [ABC 7]
∙ Unsurprisingly, they're having trouble leasing out retail space at the Salesforce Transit Center five months after a couple of cracked steel beams shut the entire building down one month after it opened. [Examiner]
