Gunfire erupted in the Western Addition Friday evening sending four people to the hospital with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting happened at 7:25 p.m. Friday on Fillmore Street between Turk and Golden Gate — the same block where a fatal shooting occurred a little over a year ago, in February 2016. This is also the same block that is home to the SFPD's Northern Station.

Little more information is known, but ABC 7 reports that police took two suspects in the shooting into custody. KRON 4 says that one of the suspects was subsequently arrested, and he is a 33-year-old male.

CBS 5's Andria Borba reports that the SFPD's gang task force is investigating the case.

For several hours Friday evening police were advising the public to avoid the area.

We'll update you if we learn anything further.
