  • To settle a class-action lawsuit, Uber is paying $20 million to some of its customers for allegedly spamming "potential customers" with unsolicited text messages. The crux of the case lies in the fact that Uber allegedly didn't verify phone numbers when people signed up for its service, thus resulting in unsolicited texts and calls sent to various phones.
