Someone left some very valuable jewels in a duffel bag in the back of a Cadillac Escalade near Ocean Beach last month, and after that vehicle was broken into and the jewels were stolen, the SFPD now wants some help figuring out who the culprit was.

As KRON 4 reports, the incident happened on August 12 at Balboa and Great Highway, and a total of four pieces of jewelry were stolen with an estimated value of $900,000. The only clue: "A 2000 blue Acura TL was seen speeding from the area and is believed to be related to the auto burglary."

As NBC Bay Area reports, the rear driver's side window was smashed in the burglary.

The items stolen, which are apparently unique and vintage or something:

  • 18K yellow gold tassel necklace
  • Cushion cut diamond earrings, approximately 4 carats each
  • 18K yellow gold cuff bracelet
  • Diamond and pearl tassel necklace

You can see them pictured above.

Anyone with information about this burglary is asked to call SFPD at (415)-575-4444, and you can remain anonymous. Or you can text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
