Police are seeking two suspects in an aggravated assault on Muni that sent the victim to the emergency room Tuesday evening.

Police say the beatdown began on a Muni bus on Mission Street near Geneva Avenue, at around 11:03 p.m.Tuesday.

The 28-year-old male victim was jumped by two men in their 20s, who punched him repeatedly.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, the victim attempted to end the attack by running from the bus, but the men followed and continued their assault. However, the suspects escaped before police arrived, fleeing in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for injuries police say are not life-threatening. The suspects remain at large, the SFPD says, and no arrests have been made in the case.
