A violent musician was arrested late Monday, following an odd Chinatown attack.

Officers with the San Francisco Police Department were called the 1000 block of rant Avenue, which is between Jackson Street and Pacific Avenue, at 9:55 p.m. Monday.

When they arrived, they heard a strange tale: a 56-year-old man had apparently beaten a 50-year-old man with a guitar as they stood outside a building.

The victim was left with lacerations from the instrument attack, and was transported to an area hospital for injuries police say are not life-threatening.

The suspect was arrested at the scene, police say, and faces charges of aggravated assault in the incident.
