Skateboarder Left With Life-Threatening Injuries Following Collision

A skateboarder was left with life-threatening injuries Thursday evening, after he was involved in a collision on a San Francisco street.

Police say that the incident occurred at 6:49 p.m. Thursday, at the intersection of Foerster Street and Joost Avenue.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, the 19-year-old skateboarder was simply "involved in [a] collision with [a] vehicle."

Police did not provide additional details on the crash, including if the vehicle was parked or being driven. They did say, however, that the skateboarder was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries, which police describe as "life-threatening." An update on his condition was not available as of publication time.
