Police took a man into custody Friday, after he threatened and attacked two teens working out in a San Francisco park.

The attack went down at 5:58 a.m. Friday, at the Ocean View Recreation Center park, which is near Lobos Street and Capitol Avenue.

Police say that a 16-year-old female and a 19-year-old male were exercising at the park when a 43-year-old man approached them.

The man confronted the pair and attempted to hit the woman "but missed," according to the San Francisco Police Department.

The aggressor then punched the male athlete, police say.

When the duo attempted to escape their attacker, police say that he followed them, pelting them with rocks.

Officers with the SFPD arrived shortly thereafter and arrested the man. The victims suffered minor injuries in the attack, police say, and are expected to recover.
