A pair of package thieves was caught on tape robbing the porch of a Richmond District home last week, accompanied by two presumably innocent dogs.
The Richmond District Blog has the tale, writing that the crime went down last Wednesday at a residence on Eighth Avenue near California Street.
As you can see in the video, one suspect grabs the Amazon.com-emblazoned packages from the porch, as the second remains on the sidewalk with two dogs, one of whom is adorably clad in a little sweater.
It appears that the sidewalk-standing suspect is aware of the security camera that recorded the crime, as she says "do not look up" to her partner as he or she gathers up the purloined parcels.
While you don't get a great look at the suspect's face, you do get a good shot of one of the pups, as at one point he or she curiously climbs the steps behind the suspect. The suspect, you'll be disappointed to hear, seemingly does not care what a bad example they are providing for their pets.
Once the suspect figures out how to juggle both the packages and a skateboard he or she was previously carrying, the pair and their pups are off, and as far as we know remain at large as of publication time.
If you recognize these suspects or their dogs, or have any other information on the case, the Richmond District Blog asks that you contact the Richmond District SFPD station at (415) 553-0123.
