A man was stabbed as he slept Friday, the victim of a suspect who remains on the loose.
Police say that the attack occurred at 2:42 this morning, on the 2000 block of Market Street, which is between Buchanan and Church Streets (aka where the infamous Church and Market Safeway is).
According to the San Francisco Police Department, the 22-year-old male victim was asleep when a suspect in his 30s "approached him and stabbed him in the back."
The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, for treatment of injuries police say are not life-threatening.
The suspect in the attack was last seen fleeing north on 14th Street, police say. As of publication time, he has not been tracked down by the SFPD, and no arrests have been made.
