Friday night’s 137-116 loss in Game 4 of the NBA Finals denied the Golden State Warriors their unprecedented undefeated postseason. In the eyes of the Dub Sack, this simply brings the party to Oakland for tonight’s Game 5 and gives Warriors fans a chance to watch a home-floor celebration in these precious final few years of their tenure in Oakland. But Overreaction Twitter went understandably berserk at the discrepancy in fouls called Friday night, most charmingly Draymond Green’s mom @BabersGreen — excellent person to follow on Twitter, BTW — who ‘dubbed’ the officiating in these Finals “some FRACKLENACKLE BULL.”

All of this sets up some FRACKLENACKLE BALL for tonight’s 6 p.m. close-out clinch game at Roaracle Area, whose drama and excitement which surely will eclipse any of this weekend’s annoyances or conspiracy theories. Tickets for tonight’s game are going for as much as $90,000 a pair according to ESPN, so unless you’ve got Sergey Brin money you’ll want to consult our list of the best bars for watching the NBA Finals (also note that SoMa StrEat Food Park will be hosting one of their Finals Watch Parties). And be prepared for the possibility of some unbridled joy, fireworks and street mayhem overflowing on both sides of the Bay.

Talk has once again bubbled up that the NBA Finals are rigged, this year apparently fueled by Darren Rovell’s ESPN analysis claiming that the Warriors would have lost out on $22 million if they had won the Finals in just four games. (This is garbage, nonsense, back-on-the-envelope speculation that fails to take into account the inevitable windfall of merchandise sales and season ticket sales for next year that would come with winning a championship. Also: The Cavaliers barely missed any shots and set a record of their own in Friday's first half.)

The Dub Sack prefers to focus on the trash talk that is now emerging in this series, none finer than that which is uttered by Draymond Green. Green was in rare form after Friday’s game, chiding Cleveland fans for their mistaken impression that a third quarter foul called on him was his second technical foul and therefore merited his ejection (It was a technical foul, but Green’s first-quarter technical foul had been rescinded so he rightfully remained in the game.) “I don’t pay attention to anybody in Cleveland, honestly. They don’t seem to be the sharpest people around," Green said.

Green then Dub-bled down on his amusing taunts in a separate media session Sunday. “They thought I had a tech I didn’t have, so that wasn’t sharp,” he laughed. “I knew I didn’t [have a technical foul], so maybe I’m just a little sharper than others.”

This all brings the series back to what could be a championship being won in front of Oakland fans — who are the sharpest people around — and as ABC 7 notes, would make these Warriors “the first Bay Area team to clinch a championship in their own arena since the Oakland A's 43 years ago.” Tip-off is at 6 p.m. and the game is being televised on ABC. Please celebrate responsibly.
