Once again, Outside Lands will not disappoint this year when it comes to the array of food, beer, wine, and cocktails on offer, making it easily the foodiest music festival in the country because: San Francisco. Also, in the dead of August winter in Golden Gate Park, especially after 5 p.m., you'd better eat and drink to stay warm, so it's nice that they have you covered nine way to Sunday, and not just with funnel cakes and bad pizza.
Returning this year will be a number of favorites from years past like Del Popolo's perfect, wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, Alicia's Tamales Los Mayas, Little Skillet's fried chicken, and Rich Table's porcini doughnuts with Raclette cheese dipping sauce.
But new this year are a couple of big players who will no doubt draw some lines in between sets: Boba Guys, serving their boba milk teas and furikake Chex mix; Mission newcomer Alba Ray's will be slinging gumbo and jambalaya;
Little Star Pizza doing their deep-dish Brass Monkey pizza (it's off menu... it's the Little Star with sausage added), and Italian Combo thin crust pizzas; Tartine's morning buns (!!!); and Marlowe, which will be slinging those famed Marlowe Burgers all weekend.

The VIP area also usually has its own foodstuffs, but unless you already have a ticket, the VIP is sold out. General admission three-day passes are still up for grabs for $375, with single-day tickets probably going on sale next month. The festival will, in all likelihood, sell out again well in advance as it has for several years.
