A 29-year-old San Francisco man is dead, officials say, following a Monday morning shooting at the border of a Potrero Hill park.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, the shooting occurred at 10:35 a.m. Monday, on the 800 block of Missouri Street.

The Chron reports that the victim "was taken to San Francisco General Hospital by car before police arrived at the scene." The victim, who has been identified by the San Francisco Medical Examiner's office as SF resident Cleveland Reid, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police say.

Police have not released additional details on the case, saying only that a handgun was used in the attack, and that no arrests have been made.

Reid's death is San Francisco's 17th homicide for the year, following an April 2 shooting in the Tenderloin that took the life of Antonio Stanberry. Two suspects have since been arrested in that slaying.
