A cyclist was injured Tuesday evening, when two muggers tried to knock him off his bike then resorted to hitting him when he maintained his balance.
Police say that the victim, a 28-year-old man, was riding his bike near 11th and Harrison Streets at 9 p.m. Tuesday when the attack occurred.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, the victim was pedaling down 11th Street when a man in his late 20s kicked his bike.
The victim "was able to stay on the bike" so the man then struck the cyclist, and with an accomplice stole the cyclist's bag.
One of the suspects then threatened the cyclist, who fled the scene in fear for his safety.
Police say that the cyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the attack, and lost his "bag, US currency, cosmetics, keys, [and] cell phone" in the theft.
The suspects remain at large, police say, and no arrests have been made in the case.
