Everyone who predicted that Metallica would return to Outside Lands this year was correct, but now that we have the full lineup for the 10th annual edition of this major SF music festival to share, these predictions from the other week actually don't look so spot-on, with the exceptions of Lorde, Alt-J, and A Tribe Called Quest, who are all, indeed, performing this year. Topping one of the nights (likely Friday or Saturday) is also Gorillaz, who may end up getting programmed against Metallica or something, and people are probably going to be pretty excited about Solange and Queens of the Stone Age too.

Also headlining in the retro category is The Who, which is kind of an out-of-nowhere surprise but maybe should have been on people's radar since Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey are on tour in the States this summer with their touring band, and they're playing six nights at Caesars in Vegas right before Outside Lands weekend. And hey, retirement's expensive.

Other highlights: Fleet Foxes, Belle & Sebastian, The Avett Brothers, former chef turned stoner rapper and VICE TV host Action Bronson, Empire of the Sun, Future Islands, Little Dragon, Kaytranada, Bleachers, and Hologram. Also, local high school-aged band The She's will be making their OL debut.

As always, Another Planet Entertainment has put together a super diverse lineup for this three-day SF festival, which this year goes down August 11 to 13. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. PT Thursday, April 6 — the three-day ones anyway — for $375 apiece, and VIP tickets are $795 apiece. If the trend continues, tickets will likely sell out sooner than they did last year, but not likely for another six weeks or so, so you have some time to make up your mind. Single-day tickets will go on sale after the day-to-day lineups are sorted.

And, as always, this festival will be chock full of bougie food, wine and beer options galore, and the comedy lineup has yet to be revealed.
