A driver who struck a cyclist near the Ferry Building then took off was arrested Tuesday, and was booked into San Francisco County Jail for the alleged hit-and-run.

Police say that the driver, a 32-year-old woman, "drove through" the intersection of Washington and Drumm Streets at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, she then collided with a 33-year-old male cyclist, injuring him.

As opposed to remaining on the scene, police say that the woman "fled the scene." However, police were able to locate the woman, and arrested her shortly thereafter.

The cyclist was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of injuries caused by the collision. Police say that the wounds are not life-threatening, and he's expected to recover.
