Compared to most music festivals, which can frankly be a hassle, Phono del Sol is a walk in the park. Held at Potrero del Sol, the large, sunny patch of grass and with a concrete skatepark bounded by Cesar Chavez and the 101, this low-key, one-day, convivial neighborhood music and food fest is thrown by local tastemakers The Bay Bridged, a nonprofit arts organization and publication. For this seventh year of Phono del Sol, they've scored 10 acts for the day of Saturday, June 17.

SF-founded garage-punk heavyweights Thee Oh Sees headline the lineup, which also includes funk rapper DUCKWRTH, Oakland indie gem Jay Som, and more. As is customary, there's a lineup release video to go with the new intel:

Phono del Sol 2017:

The Coathangers
Jay Som
Sean Hayes
Bells Atlas
Never Young
Rayana Jay

Tino Drima

General admission tickets to Phono del Sol are $29. Food trucks will line up to greet festival goers, and the popular La Raza skate park will be in use throughout, so expect to see some grungey acrobatics in the background. Here were the vibes last year:
