Brooklyn-based artist Rachel Higgins has just installed one of her interactive sculptural works at Hayes Valley Art Works, i.e. the empty lot next to the newly constructed Avalon development on what used to be briefly be home to the Hayes Valley Farm. Hoodline caught wind of the piece, which is part of a larger pop-exhibition called "Uneasy Structures" featuring five other artists, and it's a lightweight sphere made of acrylic and stucco that is meant to be rolled around the vicinity — as Higgins herself was doing earlier this week when it was installed.

It'd probably best not to roll this thing into oncoming traffic on Fell Street, though. And maybe there's somebody standing by to prevent that from happening?
