The alleged victim of a San Francsico retail robbery wasn't ready to take the crime lying down Thursday, taking a ride on the suspects' car in an effort to thwart their escape.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, five female suspects ranging from 20-60 years in age entered a store on the 2100 block of Union Street, which is between Fillmore and Webster Streets, at 2:05 p.m. Thursday.
Once inside, the women "selected items," but then "an altercation ensued."
During the scrum, at least one of the suspects "entered the area where there were safes and possibly stole jewelry," according to the SFPD.
The five suspects then ran out of the store, hopping into a vehicle driven by a man in his 20s, police say.
The victim, a 46-year-old-woman, gave chase as the suspects fled. According to the SFPD, she "jumped onto the vehicle" and refused to let go. She clung to the car for about a block, until the suspects managed to push her off the vehicle.
She suffered only minor injuries during the pursuit, and declined treatment. The suspects remain at large, police say, and no arrests have been made in the case.
