A male teenage suspect whom police believe to be between the ages of 15 and 19 years old shot a woman in the face near Northridge and Harbor Roads in the Bayview this morning just before 1 a.m. The Chronicle reported on the incident, which left the woman, 32, with non-life threatening injuries.
“The victim had literally just opened the door,” Officer Robert Rueca told the paper. “There wasn’t any kind of discussion at the door.” CBS 5 reports that the suspect is still at large.
Rueca says it isn't clear if the shooter and the victim knew one another. The department is seeking video surveillance footage that may have captured the incident.
