Market at Kearny Street was temporarily shut down in both directions Monday night after a crash involving a Muni bus left one woman trapped under the city vehicle. The Chronicle reports that the collision was reported at roughly 7:15 p.m., and that the victim was transported to a trauma center.
The exact circumstances of the collision remain unclear, and the identity of the victim has yet to be released. KRON 4 reports that she suffered significant leg injuries in the 7 p.m. crash.
A Chronicle reporter on the scene, Michael Bodley, reports that the victim is 60 years old and is in critical condition. He writes that the 9 San Bruno struck the woman and subsequently trapped her underneath. SFFD arrived on the scene and attempted to rescue her.

According to SFMTA, multiple Muni lines were delayed and rerouted as a result of the collision. Photos from the scene show a 9 San Bruno bus stopped in a crosswalk, although it is not clear if the bus pictured is the same one that ran over the woman.
