Just to help get you through here, in the rain, this week before Christmas when we're all a little frazzled and hungover, I bring you this moving, fairly stunning rendition of the song "It's Quiet Uptown" from Hamilton, here interpreted by Kelly Clarkson for the recently released Hamilton Mixtape. Many of you were probably sitting in that virtual line on Monday hoping to score normally priced tickets to the show when it comes to San Francisco next spring and summer, and some of you perhaps succeeded.
If not, you can always drop a grand on StubHub. Or just keep listening to the soundtrack over and over.
In case you missed it, Clarkson also performed the song as a duet with Billy Gilman on the finale of The Voice the other night.
