"I have been hungry before," Amanda Ngo, the owner of the Mission District grocery store Duc Loi, tells neighborhood website Mission Local. Knowing the power that a good meal has to bring people together — those in need and those of plenty — Ngo will be serving 1,000 people lunch for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Starting at noon, her store, which recently expanded with a branch in the Bayview, will cater to the any and all.

Ngo tells Mission Local she's still looking for volunteers to come by the market at 2200 Mission Street today. Need convincing to pitch in? Just take a look at this heartwarming video.
