This week, go do something, go do anything, to reaffirm your place in the world and help others do the same. Here are a scattering of options.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15

"EARLY TRANNYSHACK" OUTLOUD: Outloud Storytelling from Peaches Christ Productions presents a night hosted by Peaches/Joshua Grannell dedicated to the early days of what's now a venerable drag institution. This is Trannyshack, the oral history, if you will. Veterans of the show like Heklina, Jordan L'Moore, and others tell their war stories onstage at Oasis. Oasis, 298 11th Street, doors at 6 p.m., show at 7:30 p.m., $10

DESIGN INNOVATION NIGHT AT GRAY AREA: Gray Area, the nonprofit arts foundation located in a renovated historic theater in the Mission, celebrates Social Innovation Week through Friday with workshops, films, and presentations. This evening, a group of diverse thinkers will discuss everything from the Little Free Library Design Competition to USF social justice student organizers. Social Innovation week comes from Compostmodern, AIGA SF, Preview Events, and Gray Area Foundation for the Arts. Gray Area Theater, 2665 Mission Street, 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., $20

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16

OUTDOOR SF: The fourth gathering of San Francisco outdoor and lifestyle brands and their fans, Outdoor SF is a meet and greet with founders of companies like Public Bikes, Marine Layer, and Sunski. All proceeds go to the Conservation Alliance. Folsom Street Foundry, 1425 Folsom Street, 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., $30

MOLE TO DIE FOR: Mole is a dish I, for one, would happily make my last. A variety of mole recipes are yours for the tasting at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Art, free with the price of admission. Now, if you want a plate of food, that'll be a little more Mission Cultural Center, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., $7 admission, $5 for a plate of food

BREWERS' GUILD SHUTTLE: Meet the brewers and hop on and off the Brewers' Guild shuttle to get from Black Hammer Brewing To Thirstybear, Bartlett Hall, 21st Amendment, and Local Brewing. Shuttles run nonstop every 15 minutes. Black Hammer brewing, 544 Bryant St, 7 p.m. to 11:35 p.m., free

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17

RAD WOMEN BOOK SWAP:
Kate Schatz of the NYT bestseller Rad Women A-Z present a book swap for the ages at The Booksmith. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to bring a book about a rad woman, which you'll discuss in small groups, then trade for a new one. There's a $10 admission and it treats you to an open bar for those of drinking age plus 20 percent off whatever you spend that evening at the store. The Booksmith, 1644 Haight Street, 7 p.m., $10

FOOD-FOCUSED SCIENCE PARTY: This week's Cal Academy of Sciences Nightlife is particularly delectable, dubbed "BiteLife" and focused on food demos and tastings from Belcampo Meat Co., The Perennial, and Two Sisters Bar & Books. They're playing as a duo with the Cactus Blossoms and their latest album is Good Grief from March. The Fillmore, 1805 Geary Blvd, doors at 8 p.m., show at 9 p.m., $25

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19

OAKLAND '90s BAR CRAWL: With Space Jam 20 years back in the rearview mirror, you too might have a case of '90s nostalgia. Nurse it at the '90s Bar Crawl in Oakland. Participating bars with discounts etc. range from Diving Dog Brewhouse to Overland Bar & Grill to Make Westing (with the price of a ticket). This is independently organized, and I can't say I know exactly what to expect, but it sounds intriguing!
