Die-hard Pixar fans who saw Finding Dory in the theater were already treated to this animated short, the latest quiet masterpiece by Disney-Pixar and the team of writer-director Alan Barillaro, producer Marc Sondeimer, and exec producers John Lasseter and Andrew Stanton. It's called "Piper," and it tells the story of a tiny, hungry baby sandpiper whose mother is trying to teach her/him to forage for little clams herself, despite the scariness of oncoming waves.

Again, prepare for Oscar nods, as will likely be the case with this short "Borrowed Time" that just appeared online recently, made by Pixar guys Andrew Coats and Lou Hamou-Lhadj on their off-time.
