The magic of two-time MVP Steph Curry wasn't enough for the Warriors this past season, with a brutal defeat against the Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals a painful reminder that even going 73 and 9 for the best regular season of all time doesn't guarantee a ring.

With the first Warriors game of the 2016-17 season set for tomorrow, a new ad from Under Armour tells us loud and clear that victory is very much on Curry's mind. The spot, which debuts the new Curry 3 shoe, lists his accomplishments before cutting to a bunch of kids who call it "old news" (pretty harsh, kids). "Seventy-three and nine," asks one incredulous youth, "and no ring?" The inspiring background gospel track is "Nobody Knows" from the incredible Pastor T.L. Barrett and the Youth for Christ Choir.

The voice-over promises that Curry will soon make the 2016 loss old news, too. Dub Nation is ready, and apparently so is Curry.
