While those of us in the Bay Area were grappling with the wind and rain, the Sierra Nevada area was blanketed with a far prettier precipitation: Snow.
According to the National Weather Service, snowfall in the area was significant enough to merit a Winter Weather Advisory until 11 a.m. today, and drivers on Interstate 80 were required to don tire chains. And also, it is very pretty! Take a look.
